"Enough power for a full band."

I play in an original hard rock band with songs that range from punk to metal. For the past 8 years I have used a Blackheart BH100H Hot Head amp which is heavy in both sound and weight. Lugging that back and forth to gigs and up and down flights of stairs was just getting too much. It was time to downsize but I was not willing to compromise power, headroom, versatility or, most importantly, volume. I play in a very loud band with a hard hitting drummer and my other guitarist uses a multi-amp setup. I bought the Orange Pedal Baby because it's A/B powered and won't lose much in wattage going from an 8 ohm to a 16 ohm cabinet. This thing can get seriously loud and has no issue making your ears ring. I haven't had the volume past 1 o'clock yet. I pair it with my Mooer Black Knight preamp pedal and don't have to worry about tweaking the mix on the preamp as I turn up the volume on the Pedal Baby due to its beautiful neutral voicing. With its small form factor and low weight, it easily fits onto a pedal board making it perfect for carrying virtually anywhere. The only negatives I could really say about this power amp would be lack of a mute switch and it comes with a very short power cord.
Sound
The base sound is neutral clean. Adding a good preamp is pretty much a necessity.
Features
Having the bass and treble controls on the unit allow you to further tweak your sound based on what type of cabinet you are using.
Ease of Use
Plug and play at its simplest.
Quality
The chassis is solid and the input connections are nice and stable.
Value
At $399, you can grab any preamp or modeler for far less than a traditional gig ready amplifier without compromising anything.
Manufacturer Support
No issues to report.
The Wow Factor
A solid state power amp that reacts like a tube amp. I didn't think such a beast existed until now.

Just ordered over the 4th of July holiday, came in over night. Wow is all I have to say, this little amp is worth it, great tone , inexpensive and the channel is very clean. I added a very inexpensive distortion pedal and sounds insane . Bought this amp for my fly rig and will fit in a carry on or suit case .Thank you Zzounds for the great service and thank you Orange for this great product.

"Punchy, Loud, Affordable, Orange"

I've never owned a piece of Orange gear before the Pedal Baby 100. I had the Pedal baby 100 for more than 2 weeks and I played through it daily to include home practice, band rehearsal, and out door/bar gigs. The punchyness is the biggest plus and the punch shines through even at low (bedroom) volumes. The only reason why I decided to look for another piece of gear to replace the Pedal Baby 100 was due to the added "Orange" bite that is added on top of whatever you play into it. Even with the bass and treble controls the nasal and sharp high end was not removable. To make it work in my rig i needed to change speakers in my 2x12, add an extra EQ pedal and extreme settings on my pedals to remove/not add any treble frequencies. I put this up against the Seymour Duncan Powerstage 700 and within 20 minutes I knew the PS700 was the unit I wish the Orange Pedal Baby was. The Orange Pedal Baby 100 in not a bad unit it just wasn't for my tastes.

The OPB has not only minimized my stage presence but also provides outstanding tone at a fully powered (AB) 100W. This thing is amazing! Best purchase in a year!
