This is the perfect amp. I never thought I'd say it, but I have. It seems to be a great sounding amp no matter how you set it. I think I have FINALLY found "my tone"
Sound
ANY tone is what you can get with this head. I payed the original JVM410 and I must say that this is a far better amp. Not just different, better. The original had a very nice clean. The JS changed the clean channel to sound like a 6100 (JCM900). I do love this new channel but I think the standard 410H is warmer. That being said, this channel is still really great. However this is also the ONLY place that the original has anything comparable with the JS version. The new crunch channel is phenomenal. You have to hear it. Plus the entire OD channel's gain control is useable! SICK
Features
NOISE GATES: hands down better than my ISP Decimator... SWEET! 2 master volumes; 2 series FX loops (one is switchable); 5 speaker jacks; silent record line out; MIDI; programable footswitch & more. It has it all except half power but it sounds great at any volume so it really doesn't need it.
Ease of Use
Simple to use. Simple to program. You can plug & play but if you dial it in right... HOLY S#%T!
Quality
Made in England. Seems to be built like a tank. Much better build quality than the original. No loose knobs. Unfortunately the JS version still uses mostly plastic input jacks... For $2600 - c'mon guys, you can do better than that!
Value
Compared to say, a Bogner 101b, it is reasonable. But it is still over $2500...
Manufacturer Support
N/A
The Wow Factor
WOW X 1000 = JVM 410HJS! BEST AMP UNDER $3000 - NO DOUBT!

If your hesitating about buying this amp, take my advice, BUY it, you will love it.. Bought it without even playing threw one, great great crunch channel sound in all 3 modes, took me right back to that old 80's tone from the 800 series on crunch RED, the other 2 modes work very well also. Dont be fooled by the talk about the clean channel not being clean if not on green mode, i use amber mode and its still clean, red will bring a slight breakup depending on where you have your gain knob set but still, very useable for cleans depending on how clean you like it, you can go from green to red and not have a lack of need. I use the OD1 and OD2 to set my lead sounds, ive seen others getting great results using these channels as primary 80's metal tones but i dont really need that much variety as to have 4 channels worth, and ive only had about a week and 1 practice under my belt as to dial in this thing, but right out of the box the crunch channel is very very good. This amp is way better that the original jvm, imho, if you cant decide between the two, opt for this one, its just a all around better amp, even though its a sig amp, you can adjust for your own personal taste and get your own tone. im a first time buy on zZounds and they couldnt have made it easier, this pay as you play option is great, lets you get your gear now and make easy payments, no hassle , no big issues, no waiting and wondering, they really make it easy, im glad to have found a online music store that i can deal with in the future, i plan on buy more gear from them.. There is no need to look at any other Marshall. This one is THE one. Why do they even make the original JVM? I have no idea as I own one of the originals, this JVMHJS is a total animal. Just awesome.... GET IT!!!!
