So I have been a Mesa guy since 1998, and in that time ive had a mark III, a dual recto Rack mount, Arecto mini, and a mesa MK V:25 , which i still have. I gotta start out saying this head goes way beyond my expectataions, which were very high, With only about 20 minutes and some cross checking from my 5 ;25 i had my tones rolling and my god does this thing bring the pain. The 6l6 power section tracks tight even in drop A tunings . The dual crunch functions on ch 1 and 2 are fn cool for metal meat that borders on solo ready and yet its intricate, elloquent, sexy and suave in its deamenor. My mark III took a few weeks to really wrap my head around mesa eq approach , if youve never played through one , trust me your in for a wake up call. This is indeed MR Smiths' finest creation , and I cant wait for our next rehearsal to show it off.g Lead Guitar...Burning Genesis
