I think I will be playing this guitar for a while. And if all Jackson Guitars are this beautiful to look at and play, I might get another one...maybe a Kelly w/ Floyd Rose trem. system...maybe later in life, but for now I'll be rocking beast for a while.
Sound
The sound on this guitar is good, but it's not the best. Though it could be my amp...all I have is a practice amp so that might be way it only sounds good and not "OMG THIS IS AMAZING!!" Lol but still, its good.
Features
(just look at the picture for most of what it comes with.) This guitar comes with a whammy/tremolo bar, 2 humbucker pickups, 1 volume, 1 tone, 3-way switch, and tools for adjustment...which is really nice. But beware of the whammy bar though, since it's not a floyd rose or kahler or something like that, it will go out of tune if whammied like crazy...and pulled backwards if it's in floating-mode.
Ease of Use
If you know how to play a guitar, this should be as easy as hell. For beginners, this might be a good guitar to start out with.
Quality
When I opened it on Christmas Day, it was SO sexy. Though I kinda expected a guitar that was a little bigger, but thats what i get for thinking. :P But it is really good-lokking with a gloss black finish (that's what I got) pearl shark-fin inlays and reverse headstock.
Value
Dude...$200...how is that NOT good? How is that not AMAZING!?
Manufacturer Support
I haven't dealt with Jackson Guitar Company at all, and I hope I don't have to, but from what I read from other reviews on Jackson Guitars, they sound like a delight to get help from.
The Wow Factor
Like I said, it's beautiful, but the only drawback is that the finish is gloss...that means fingerprints will show on it if not clean daily. But it'd worth it.

"Surprising"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This guitar plays very well with distortion, but it also has great clean tones, which is important for me to play varied styles. The compound radius is unusual at this price. The wood is Indian Cedro, the tone control is sensitive, both pots feel good. I didn't use to like reversed headstocks, but I find it comfortable to use. The guitar's weight is just right, the finish is very nice, it's easy to play. Its looks are simple but beautiful. It goes out of tune now and then, I think the tuners need to be tightened a bit. A problem I had was the plug socket didn't make good contact, that's easy to fix. Overall, i'm very happy with my purchase, I love playing it. It came with a nice Jackson gig bag as well.
Sound
It has a rich clean tone, sounds very good distorted. The pots are good and the tone control changes are very noticeable. I find it good to play blues and rock, which is what I would play with this guitar, and also to play some classic guitar music (despite one associates this kind of guitar to metal). I think it will do good with drop tuning. It has a long scale which I like, too.
Features
The reversed headstock, the compound radius, the neck with 24 frets, the tone wood (Indian cedro)
Ease of Use
Very easy to play. I played it through my new Fender Frontman 25R. Sounds marvelously. Very playable.
Quality
I think overall it's made well, well finished. The plug socket needed adjustment. The tuners need it too, I think. There is a very little scratch in the back, almost not noticeable, I got a discount for that. The neck is beautiful.
Value
It is a great value. Some brands have only compound radius in their higher end guitars. The sound is very pleasing. I played a schecter about the same price which didn't sound as good and didn't come with a gig bag. I didn't play an Ibanez in the same price range, but for what I read about the features I prefer the Jackson.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't. I bought it in the US but live in Argentina, I believe it has only 45 days warranty unless you pay for more, which for the same reason of location I didn't buy.
The Wow Factor
I'm happy to have this guitar. I have a Fender Blacktop strat, more versatile and with more powerful humbuckers, but it costs twice the price as the Jackson, and for me the Jackson handles distortion better. Plus it has compound radius, the clean tones are different than those of the strat, so I have different instruments to span a wider range of styles. The Jackson is stylish, it's playable, it's a fine instrument.

Musical Background:

I studied when young, started again with electrics some time ago after playing acoustic for many years (just at home)

Musical Style:

I like to play Blues, Rock, Latin rock and South American music.
