We’re still on our honeymoon, but I’m checking her out with the magnifying glass. It came from Mississippi i think and I am in Mendocino, California so Coast to Coast I was expecting some sort of problems and luckily I was wrong. The book and flame top almost matches in the middle perfectlyIt is stunning. It would appear that I got one of the better cases very solid but no baby picture. Bummer. And I thought it had an extra truss rod cover, but there isn’t . Besides that I had to completely go through and redo the intunation And flip a few saddles around there seems to be no more than five high Fretz, but not bad enough to cause buzz.I’ll have those fixed by morning and leveled I can’t speak for every guitar or every YouTube video, but don’t be scared. Everything bad that was said about the newer Gibson‘s was not the case with this Gibson. Now I can go knowing that even though my custom is on the bucket list I can do without this is just as good.
Sound
I like the 61 neck, especially but there’s a wide range a possibilities with just a turn of an knob or a flick of the switch. The volume and sustain that present before you even plug it in is amazing and unstable Gibson.I do not see myself modifying anything besides the strap locks and that’s unheard of if you know me.
Features
It would have been nice to have an ebony fingerboard with some mother of pearl trapezoid inlay instead of the acrylic because mother pearl is not that costly the inlet process is, but I knew what it had beforehand, but if I could wish for something, that’s what it would be a little Ebony and mother of pearl . Oh, and my baby picture that I was looking forward to would have been cool.
Ease of Use
As far as the sound and versatility, it’s endless I’ve only had it for one day but with the Marshal half stack and the invader distortion pedal, they threw in turn it up to 11 for Randy Rhodes or George Jones, your nail it.
Quality
It’s very well built as this is the first brand new Gibson I’ve owned that wasn’t from a pawnshop or Craigslist. I’ve been repairing guitars for 15 years or so there’s nothing that can happen to this that can’t be fixed, except possibly a fire but with extreme caution, my grandkids kids should be able to enjoy this. But I will be taking it with me lol

This guitar in Dirty Lemon is the most gorgeous Les Paul I’ve ever had the privilege of owning. If you browse through the serial numbers you’ll see how drastically different each flame maple top is. I will proudly say I snagged the most gorgeous one! I just wish I could upload a photo!! This guitar sounds so amazing and is just strikingly beautiful!

For a nearly $3000 instrument that the manufacturer claims in factory pleked... I couldn't be less happy. Out of the box the frets were gritty and hard to bend on, upon further inspection there were 3 high frets. The intonation wasn't even in a parking garage two miles from the ballpark. Suffice to say I took the guitar to a trusted tech and he leveled the frets and polished them to a high shine. He also set the action for the thicker gauge string I use meaning it only had to come down 0.8 to be in the optimal range of my comfortability the goldilocks zone if you will, just right. The A, G, and B strings intonation set give me a strong suspision that the QC team responsible for fret leveling are the same that signed off on this neglect that was fret dressing. The best analogy that comes to mind is buying a new Ferrari directly off the factory floor and immediately having it towed to the mechanic for an oil change and a complete tune up. That said, after I parted with an additional amount of money to get the instrument up to the standard it should have been out of the box. I am currently beyond happy with my purchase and unexpectedly surprised at how versatile it is and how amazing it sounds. Knocking a star off for the QC incompetence and having to instantly invest more for things that should never need to be done out of the box to an instrument in this price bracket.
Sound
Burstbuckers are amazing from throaty midrange gritty blues to harsher metal tones that rely on the punching high end to cut through in the mix or on a stage
Ease of Use
impossible until getting the frets dressed and polished, the action set, and what might be the worst intonation on any guitar, especially factory fresh.
Quality
Gibson has figured out how to return to a quality build that has been missing since around 74... now if the QC department would stop pencil whipping documentation they created to ensure customer satisfaction by staying committed to the quality standard the promise
Value
Had the product showed up with the readiness that has stolen a few weeksand half a paycheck for me to even be able to play it I would say yes.... but that is unforgiveable
Manufacturer Support
Gibson makes sure to leave room to be desired
The Wow Factor
It's prettier that an Alabama cousins mouth
