I've owned and played through many amps over the years. The Friedman runt is one of my favorites. It has a ton of tonal versality on the clean channel. This amp is great for rock and blues. The gain channel with boost is good enough for metal rhythm but definitely not leads.The sound through a cab vs the DI through the loadbox is identical when mic'd.

"Super quality cleans and OD like a super modded Mar"
Really nothing to say here except Friedman slammed this one out of the park.The clean channel is astounding and rich with harmonics and clarity but can dirty up when pushed.The OD channel is the BE OD and a Super BE OD This amp has the smoothest sound out of all our amps Really a must have if you are seeking the magical tone of a Marshall But with so much more....Buy from The Z....they are the best for real musicians!
