I have been a professional musician most of my life and have owned a lot of gear over the years - This amp is awesome for a number of reasons First, like all EVH products - and amps - it is built to endure the road second, the channel switching is superb! Third - Much better version of clean amp and the resonance knob thickens things up nicely. My favorite is channel 2 - on this amp it is warm and voiced more like a VH album tone than earlier 5150 amps / dial in the resonance knob in back and you have a pretty damn good Fair Warning tone right out of the box / gain past 6 is useless but, this is killer / without pedals ( I use a wampler faux tape echo in the effect loop ) Channel 3 - reminds me more of that Stone Temple Pilots / Plush tone really gainy and distorted / more like " I'm the one " type thing still have to work on this channel but, the voicing is better than the stealth in my opinion. Killer amp !! I bought mine thru zZounds / just pull the trigger !! and get one !
