I read that people had some difficulty learning the Elektron workflow. Coming from an MPC, this was a breeze. Watched a True Cuckoo tutorial and I was jamming like a pro within an hour. This is a great beginner instrument for Elektron. The Digitakt and Octatrack are more advanced, but if you want to dip your toe into the Elektronaut world, this is a great place to start. It’s simple enough to understand, but complex enough to keep you engaged. Like any instrument, it takes time to master but once you do, you’ll be crafting complex polyrhythms, lush pads, stabby synths, and thumping drums into songs/patterns that you never thought possible. 10/10

The engineers at Elektron have outdone themselves! I am so over dealing with the same old “fill in the blank” drum machines and rhythm composers. Don’t get me wrong, they have a place in the music world, but not MY music world. I wanted a machine where I could truly manipulate the rhythms and sounds. Fortunately the wizards and magicians at Elektron wove together a magic machine called the Sytakt. The endless sound and pattern possibilities is exactly what I’ve been looking for. At first glance at the online manual this Gen Xer here felt a little intimidated by the technology, but after a couple of days of reading the manual and playing as I went everything came into focus and I broke through to another dimension sound creativity. If a dude like me who still counts his fingers like a first grader doing math can figure out how to use this amazing gift to humanity, anyone can! Now, I’m getting back to jamming on my Sytakt! Thanks for reading my review.

Just got this today and I’ve already gotten some crazy sound out of it I’ve never gotten with any of my other gear. It’s compact and portable if you need to travel with it, it’s much smaller than any MPC or Maschine. Running it through its Overbirdge app in Ableton and it’s overwhelming the amount of things I can do with this. It definitely has that new 2022 sound you won’t get with anything else, would definitely recommend it to anybody. And you’re not going to find it any cheaper anywhere else, so you might as well take advantage of the payment plan here.
