I love the sound of this thing. The distortion is a great touch, it pairs really well with the snares/claps especially with long decays. The individual outs in the back are a huge plus for recording and I was surprised at how full the snare sounded on its own. The only downside I can find with this machine is that there's a cowbell instead of a clave, which is very upsetting! But regardless it's still a great drum synth, Also using the USB on the back caused ground loop hum with my PC so I used the midi input instead and there's no noise so Im cool with it. Getting the midi IN to work did take a while for me, but I think it's because I was sending midi time code which this thing doesn't receive. It works flawlessly now just sending midi clock and start message from the midi out on my focusrite interface. The arturia tech support helped me with that one, so also a huge plus there. This thingworks really well In a dawless setting to if you want to do that. It's a great machine buy it you need it

The DrumBrute Impact for the price alone and features is worth getting. More punch on the kick and snares, the fm drum and distortion are amazing and the color feature is a game changer for this new DrumBrute.
