"Z8 sampler"
Overall build quality is very good. Very reliable. I used to work with Kontakt (still do) but this buddy does the same and with more quality and of course with no needles CPU usage. Connected with USB cable to my computer it works on the background allong with Cubase. Its totaly graphical alike vst synths with knobs and buttons.To work with Ak.sys is best to work on a 32 bit version of Windows 7 or XP. Very stable system with 2 midi outs/2 midi ins.I can change filters/sounds/modulation matrices on the fly (even quicker then within kontakt). Converted al my Halion, Akai and Machine samples and have 1000+ sounds under my fingertips on 32 midichannels and internal mixer. The effects are a sort of bonus.The only thing in Music that counts is the soundquality. The Z8 has by far a better soundquality then then any softsampler. Very underated machine

Sound
The sound system of the Z4 it´s correct, it doesn´t change the original sound. The flexible system and it´s graphical edit mode it´s very good.
Features
You can mount an internal hard disk and you have USB loading and saving. You can also connect you computer ( mac or pc) by usb and edit remotly.
Ease of Use
If you already know what it´s a hardware sampler you don´t will have any problem to know it easily. If not read the owners manual and it will be easy to work.
Quality
It has a big big big quality.... i work with it in live systems, to paly the sequences and have lead sounds without any problem for 5 years.
