"Sleek and Filled with Sound!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
It appears that this keyboard could take me through quite a few years. I would probably only upgrade if I started playing out or was doing a lot of arranging for others.
Sound
The sounds are very realistic with a great number of voices to choose from. The speaker amp could be a bit more powerful, but this is not a real drawback as I plan to hook this into my home studio.
Features
Loaded with features. Some I probably won't use on a regular basis.
Quality
Well made, maybe a tad plasticy, but should hold up well for in home use. The window over the display may become an issue. It's plastic and the display model showed some scratches over the display.
Value
The keyboard itself is a good value, but watch out for the accessories. You have to buy the a/c power supply separtly. This did come in a "Survival Kit" that included headphones, sustain pedal and a DVD. The DVD is mainly just Yamaha self-promotions.
Manufacturer Support
Not needed as of yet.
The Wow Factor
Compared to some of the other beginner keyboards, this is a gem. It is sleek and well laid out. No funky colors or oddly shaped buttons to clutter up the top of the keyboard. The buttons are well labled, but colored so that they blend into the overall color of the keyboard and are not a distraction when playing.
