Not long. Already looking at its big brother VL2 and the other TC voice enhancing products out there. Yes, if lost or stolen, I would replace it with a product form the same manufacturer. Its that good. Like most? Makes me feel like there is hope for all of us non-singer wannabees. Everly brothers, look out.

Sound
I didn't know they had these products existed until a few months ago. I came across them after writing some music and trying to demonstrate how the words fit the music. After mixing my voice with a couple of back up voices (also my own), I said to myself, there's got to be a better way. Well, lo and be hold, there is. A quick search on the web found several items on-line. I listened to the demos, talked to several knowledgeable folks, tried severalk of them out and selected the Harmony G as my weapon of choice. I have never been known as a singer and, with almost all of the groups I've worked with, have been told to stay away from the mikes....even my significant other has been less than complementary of my vocal talents. Yet, right out of the box, this product open musical doors I didn't know existed and has changed my whole perspective..and my sound to the point where no one has recognized my singing on the demos I've made. Great 1 or 2 part harmonies are possible from this unit, from the squeeky high pitched girly tones to bass voices that go below what's humanly possible. The middle ranges will fit most people (1/3 read more octave above and below will give you a majority of the classic pop harmonies). Great effects including doubling, echo and decent reverb round out the sounds. It tracks the guitar extremey well with little, if any, noticeable delay even during quick chord changes. The manual and reviews don't much about singing accapella (sp?) but I have been able to get decent harmonies out of it sans the guitar. Its built for the road and has lots of LEDs to show what you're doing. For the money, it won't won't bust your bank (in fact, its less than the other comparable products) For a person like me, the G (and the new G XT)is a dream come true and I have been having a ball with it over the past few weeks. The problem I am already having is that I am already looking at its big brother the VoiceLive 2 and the other TC products designed to make singers sound better. I know I need a lot of help in the voice dept and I know it probably won't make me the next American Idol but this is a great product to take for a spin. Hey Santa! You got this one right. Now, you still want a recommendation? You got it!

Features
Easy to use right out of the box. Solid construction is impressive. Other manufacturers should take note. Intuitive controls.

Ease of Use
ALready mentioned above. Kind of wish the manual had more data in it such as suggested settings for a particular sound. But, it really takes little time to get up and running which, for people like is great.

Quality
Excellent. No complaints. I am wondering how they got so much sound in such a small box.

Value
Yes. IN fact it was offered for less than the comparable products on the market (the Electro-Harmonix Voice box does a bit more but doesn't feel as sturdy. Digitec comes close but required more programming and had too many things going on for me

Manufacturer Support
Good web site with assorted demos. Too new to judge the service aspects

The Wow Factor
Lots of lights, simple buttons good display, solid feel. And most of all, it does what it says it does; actually more than it claims.

Musical Background:
Active hobbiest and muscian

Musical Style:
Pop, country, oldies, the full gamut
