Available for a limited time, this Taylor features Cocobolo back and sides for engrossing, natural acoustic tone.

The Taylor 814CE LTD 2012 Spring Limited Edition Acoustic-Electric Guitar provides players with a luscious tone and elegant looks thanks to its Cocobolo back and sides and Sitka Spruce top. Cocobolo gives the 814CE LTD Spring Edition guitar an outstanding voice with great volume and a deep low end that's balanced by a sweet top end. Curly Maple binding on the Taylor Grand Auditorium body beautifully ties it all together.

Cocobolo

Few woods can match cocobolo's assertive visual beauty, expressed through bold, fiery hues and dramatic variegation. Tonally, cocobolo is known for its volume and a deep low end that's balanced by an overall brightness, making it a favorite among players. Normally used for Taylor's Presentation Series and Build to Order guitars, this spring they have paired cocobolo with premium Taylor 800 Series appointments in the 814ce LTD Spring acoustic electric guitar.

Grand Auditorium Shape

Taylor's most popular and versatile body shape, the mid-size Grand Auditorium bears proportions that fall between a Dreadnought and Grand Concert. While the bigger Dreadnought was traditionally considered a flatpicker's guitar and the smaller Grand Concert catered to fingerstylists, the GA delivers on both fronts. The shape produced an acoustic voice that's big enough to handle medium-strength strumming, yet with impressive balance across the tonal spectrum, producing clear, well-defined notes that suited both strumming and fingerstyle playing. read more

Expression System

Taylor's ground-breaking Expression System (ES) on the 814ce LTD was designed to naturally amplify the warm acoustic sound of your guitar. The ES is an all-magnetic acoustic guitar pickup system that works like a microphone to produce a pure signal and a warm, natural acoustic sound. When you plug in, you'll hear the sound of your guitar, not the sound of the pickup. No complicated controls. No tone simulators. Just a clean amplified acoustic guitar sound supported by three simple controls - volume, bass and treble.

this guitar is not only one of the most beautiful guitars ive ever seen in completion. but you also will be very hardpressed to find a guitar that sounds better and has better playability. the cocobolo back and sides mixed with the 800 series appointments is beyond incredible. the cocobolo is top notch in sound and look...the neck is tropical mahogany and extremely comfortable and the satin finish on it is as smooth as a babys bottom...it just doesnt get better than this guitar! everytime someone sees it or hears it they are blown away and wont stop raving about how its the best guitar theyve ever seen in person. DEFINITELY BUY THIS GUITAR! its a nice piece of change but the quality is surely worth it! it will pay for itself in a matter of years!
