This is hands down the best sounding and looking kit I've ever owned. I would put These Starclassic performer drums up against any other high end professional drums out there. I prefer these over the Ludwig classic maple kits I've had. The quality and sound of these drums are amazing and they are very easy to tune as well. The bass drum has to be the best sounding one I've ever had it sounds punchier and deeper than any 24 inch bass drum I've had and I've had dw,Ludwig, pdp,and pearl 24 inch bass drums . Don't let the made in China thing keep you from getting this set. Remember that Tama built their own factory from the ground up in China and sent a bunch of the workers from the factory in Seto Japan to ensure quality control and make sure things are being done the exact way they're doing them in Japan. So when you buy this kit be assured that you're buying a quality Tama kit built to Tama's high standards.
