The SD50CE continues the legacy of the SD50 with the addition of a Clearwave 10 four-band active EQ pickup system. " I am not going to be one of those people that says this guitar plays and sounds as good as my $2000 Martin for two reasons: "
I would replace this instrument ASAP if it were stolen.
Sound
The SD50CE sounds like a quality dreadnought should. It has good projection as well as a throaty, woody sound with plenty of low end. I am a banger who plays with a flat pick 95% of the time and the guitar has endless (that I have found) headroom.
Features
The tuner is much better than on most acoustics. The fact that you get a simulated "needle" akin to analog tuners let you know how close you are to being tuned as opposed to a simple LED telling you that you are sharp or flat is a plus. No need for an aftermarket tuner as it also allows you to use the tuner as a chromatic one. You can tune it any way you like.
Ease of Use
I took the guitar out of the box and the sucker started playing all by itself !! Well.... not really, but the action was good. There was minor fret buzz, which I fixed with a very minor neck adjustment. The strings were high quality coated D'Addario as well.
Quality
The finish was outstanding. There was a tiny ding here and there, but extremely minor. The wine colored back and sides are beautiful, the top is all but immaculate, the small headstock in gloss black is handsome, the gold Grovers look great. The only two things I could find that made this look like an inexpensive instrument were the wide off-white binding and a ouny looking pickguard.

Can't I pick an 11 ? Nigel Tufnel did.
Manufacturer Support
Will give benefit of the doubt. Haven't used support.
The Wow Factor
I might buy another as a spare. In all seriousness, I am thinking about the SD-50 which is the non-cutaway, non-electric version of this. I am that pleased with this guitar.
