Overview

The SA270 EQ2 Programmable EQ is a combination graphic and parametric equalizer pedal with 10 adjustable frequency bands, stereo inputs and outputs, 8 onboard presets, 128 MIDI accessible presets, 5-pin DIN input and thru jacks, and a master volume with an additional 12dB of boost. The pedal flaunts sleek, modern hardware with a crystal-clear LED screen, simple control surface, and on-the-fly preset switching capabilities. In addition to its highly flexible onboard options, the EQ2 is compatible with Source Audio's Neuro Mobile and Desktop Editors.

The Neuro Editors provide a simple and visually comprehensive view of the parametric EQ controls (including adjustable frequency band and a Qcontrols) as well as an optional dynamic limiter, noise gate, alternate signal routing options, and the ability to simultaneously run two discrete EQ presets (one for each stereo output).

The pedal also includes a USB port for connecting to the Neuro Desktop Editor or receiving MIDI program change (PC) and continuous controller (CC) messages from a digital audio workstation (DAW). The EQ2's 1/8" CONTROL INPUT jack connects with either the Source Audio Dual Expression Pedal or Source Audio's Neuro Hub. The Neuro Hub smoothly incorporates the EQ2 into the greater Source Audio ecosystem.

Hey everybody, this is Justin at zZounds and these are some things to know about the Source Audio EQ2. So, this is a programmable EQ. A couple cool things to know about it that are some good functions are that the output knob has 12 dB of gain, so you can kind of use it as a boost as well as an EQ. It also has a split function where you can route two different EQ settings out of the two different outputs, which offers a bunch of experimentation and extra functionality.

Besides that, there are also eight preset slots, which is really handy if you just want to cycle through and get a bunch of preloaded sounds. There’s also the Neuro app, which opens up the functionality and lets you add a noise gate and different filters as well, so the app greatly expands the pedal’s functionality.

Those are a few things to know about the Source Audio EQ2.

This pedal has become one of thee most important pedals on my board. It is fantastic. Very easy to use especially with my Boss ES-8 via midi. Just imagine being able to shape your tone with different pre-sets. This pedal is extremely responsive. It is also great using the USB and the Source Audio Neuro App. I was able to perfect to my liking, all my Over Drive Sounds. I use a midi capable OD/Dist pedal so with EQ2 all my sounds are exactly how I want them. You can save up to 128 presets. Which you will never do. However I have saved 16 different EQ settings. The pedal is small, a great solid build and just performs perfectly. I can't say enough. After 40 years of playing this is truly a great and necessary pedal for my board. you will LOVE it
