Shure SM137 Instrument Condenser Microphone

zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Reinforce and record acoustic guitar, percussion, piano and more with this affordable, super-versatile small-diaphragm condenser from Shure's SM series.
Overview
The SM137 has a frequency response that combines the best of both worlds -- a smooth high-end and a tightly controlled low-end. Made using an ultra-thin diaphragm, this mic is what is needed when picking up the subtle nuances of an instrument. Providing a 15 dB pad, Shure's SM137 has natural sound reproduction for quiet acoustic and high volume applications.
Road worthy, don't forget to take this mike on tour. Made with rugged nearly indestructable chassis, Shure's SM series of mics were built to take the punishment of night-after-night gigging.
- 15dB pad for performance consistency across a wider range of high SPL sources
- Low self-noise and transformerless preamplifier circuitry
- Cardioid polar pattern

Plug and Play...Oh!..wait a moment...make sure you have "Pantom Power" available. I missed that in the specs. and my PA does not have it. It is over a year old. However, I have a "Phantom Power" module that I can use so I did not have to purchase a new PA...yet!
