Overview
The new SE Electronics Gemini Dual Tube condenser microphone breaks the mold! Like no other microphone ever made, the Gemini Dual Tube is exactly that -- TWO vacuum tubes in a large diaphragm transformerless condenser microphone. SE's engineers have created a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Pretested 12AU7 and 12AX7 dual triodes deliver smooth, natural, full-range sound with super low noise and unheard-of sensitivity and reach. Its internal shock mount and cardioid pickup pattern make it perfect for distant or ambient miking, stereo X-Y recording, and where rear axis rejection is necessary. SE's proprietary Dual Tube design (a world first!) and super-large 35mm gold diaphragm work combine to make a creative tool that must be experienced to believe. For concert hall, studio, or on location, the Gemini Dual Tube does break the mold. And you'll be pleasantly surprised that it won't break the bank.

SE Electronics Gemini Customer Review
Great vocal and piano microphone with the warmest and most natural sound in it's price range.
Sound
Crisp and warm. Has a little boost in the low mids which makes it very suitable for female vocals, piano's and others string instruments, while staying nice and neutral in the highs.
Overall very natural, not hyped, while staying warm and full bodied.
Features
Very sturdy spin, 4.5 meters of cable and a power supply.
Fixed cardoid and no roll-off or pads.
Multi-pattern would have made it an absolute 10.
Ease of Use
No hassle at all. Plug and play.
Quality
Well build, solid, will probably survive a nuclear holocaust.
Value
There are more versatile microphones on the market in the same price range, but none with the tonal quality of this mic. You'll have to go $2000+ to get this sound.
Manufacturer Support
Excellent support from SE Electronics.
These people realy care about their products.
You can even try their microphones seven days for free.
The Wow Factor
Big and beautiful! .. you can see the two tubes glow through 35 holes drilled in the back. You could use it as a nightlamp :)
