No longer available at zZounds
The Roland JUNO-STAGE synth is designed for gigging keyboardists. Made for live shows, the JUNO-STAGE is packed with great "stage-ready" sounds.

A heavyweight in features, yet light enough for easy travel, the Roland JUNO-STAGE is an amazing balance of power and portability. Starting with the ultra-cool sounds of their flagship Fantom series workstations, Roland has created a great sounding instrument that's streamlined and geared for live performance. If you're a gigging musician who thinks a lightweight stage synth with a built-in mic input, an ability to play backing tracks from a USB flash drive, and the sonic palette of the Fantom sounds like a great idea, you're going to fall in love with the Roland JUNO-STAGE.

The Roland JUNO-STAGE Features Fantom-Quality Sounds For Live Performance

Sound Designers and world-renowned producers have relied on the sonic-sculpting powers of the Roland Fantom series for years, but most performing keyboardists would rather have the finished sounds than the deep editing capabilities of a workstation--without all the added weight. The Roland JUNO-STAGE is exactly what those musicians have been asking for. It's packed with incredible Fantom-derived sounds including acoustic and electric pianos, thick analog synth sounds, percussion, strings, horns, and more. While every sound on the Roland JUNO-STAGE is top-notch, of particular note are the Fender Rhodes emulation and the tonewheel organ sounds, and any sound can be sweetened with a huge palette of effects like phasing, rotating speaker sounds, chorus, and COSM-powered amp emulations. If you want to play right away, the Roland JUNO-STAGE read more ships with a great variety of preset, performance-ready sound clips. Just dial one up and off you go! If you prefer to tweak your sound to create something truly original, you will love the included Patch Editor software, which lets you connect the JUNO-STAGE to your computer for crafting original sound banks. If you need more sounds, the Roland JUNO-STAGE can be expanded with Roland SRX sound boards.

Super-Fast Synth-Action Keys on the Roland JUNO-STAGE

The 76 keys on the Roland JUNO-STAGE were made for long nights of demanding sets. These smooth, semi-weighted keys aren't built to emulate acoustic piano keys, but they certainly don't feel like toys, either. You'll arpeggiate, glissando, and chord-stab all over this keyboard with ease and confidence without tiring too early or cramping up. Add to this a dual-axis pitch-bend/modulation lever, assignable expression switches, and Roland's famous D-Beam optical controller, and the JUNO-STAGE is capable of unprecedented live expressive potential. Performance oriented through and through, a footswitch can be used to switch between patches completely hands-free, so the music never has to stop.

Backing Tracks And Vocals, Courtesy Of the Roland JUNO-STAGE

Did the rest of the band call in sick on gig night? Not to worry. The Roland JUNO-STAGE has your back, thanks to its built-in song player and professional microphone input. With an onboard USB port for reading flash memory thumb drives, the JUNO-STAGE can play back audio files and MIDI files as backing tracks. Plug your favorite microphone into the XLR-1/4" combi jack--even those requiring phantom power--and you're the frontman, rhythm section, lead player, and whoever else you need to be to fill out the sound. If your singer shows up at the last minute, you can still use your mic to control the Roland JUNO-STAGE's built-in vocoder!

With all these performance-oriented features, the Roland JUNO-STAGE just might be the ultimate live synth. Of course, with all those amazing Fantom sounds and the convenient USB/MIDI connections, the Juno Stage is just as likely to become your ultimate studio instrument as well.

The Juno Stage should fit my needs for years to come. I would love to get a Nord but like others it is out of my price range, but the Juno Stage is close behind it...If someone stole it I would definitely buy another Juno Stage even used...

Sound
The Roland Juno Stage has the best piano sounds I've heard IMO just as good as Nord. I was looking at the Stage and the Juno Gi...The Gi does have an 8 track recorder but it is NOT geared toward the working musician and live playing. The Gi does sound great but is more along the lines of a workstation and it is not expandable..the sounds you get with the Gi is all you get... With the Juno Stage it has 2 SRX slots to add more sound libraries. Both keyboards have the "Fantom" engine in them but the stage is a beast. The velocity with the semi-weighted keys sound absolutely amazing. Again the pianos will blow your mind, don't get me wrong ALL the sounds sound amazing. It's a shame this model is being discontinued, I didn't care from what I read about this keyboard it was exactly what I needed....

Features
The Juno Stage care with editing software as well as a copy of Sonar LE.

Ease of Use
Everything you need to modify the sounds is right at your fingertips

Quality
This keyboard is well made. If I have it for a few years and it broke, I would look for another used Stage to replace it. This keyboard along with the read more Juno G are made for the road and are exactly what one needs to play live.

Value
The price of the Juno Stage beat out all others Yamaha Mo6 and a bunch of others. I sold my Triton after getting the Stage because it sounded like a toy compared to the Stage..

Manufacturer Support
I have called Roland just to ask a couple questions, even left my name and phone number with the promise of the automated recording someone would call me back...Haven';t heard from them at all...So I bet either they are getting ready for NAAM or they just didn't feel the need to call me back. Either way it's kinda disappointing and I hope this doesn't reflect how their support actually is.

The Wow Factor
It's a Keyboard but the Pianos will make you wet your pants...
