Need a PC that's made for music production? Meet Rain Computers' Event Mini computer. It's got a 7200 RPM hard drive, eight USB ports, and even S/PDIF I/O.

Introducing Even Mini Audio Computer by Rain. It's a pint sized powerhouse designed to work with your favorite music production software like Pro Tools, Cubase and Ableton Live. Turn it on and you're instantly in the creative zone, adding all the tracks, plug-ins and virtual instruments that make your music come to life. Demo a new song, record your band and edit everything on the fly. Then just upload your new music to iTunes and get ready to make a speech when you win that Grammy.

This is what cutting edge sounds like.

Event isn't just another pretty face. Under the hood you've got brand new APU technology from AMD. It's a dual-core that acts like a quad. Combine that with 4 gigabytes of 1333MHz DDR3 memory and a high performance SATA III hard drive, and you've got a mean machine begging for you to add more tracks, more plug-ins and more virtual instruments. And with Rain's Quiet Cool Design, there are no glitches, drop-outs or bottlenecks to ruin your session.

Support for creative people.

Event includes a free 30 day trial of Rain's world-class RainCare Encompass Creative Computer Support. That means you've got the Rain Team to help you get the very best performance and stability from your Event and all software and hardware you use with it. Because when it comes down to it, you want to make music, not worry about the technology. Rain helps you stay in the creative zone. This is what it's like when your computer can keep up with your creativity.

Okay let me start off by saying, I found out about this computer on Rain's website and from all the talk about it from Rain it seemed like it was gonna be a good pc for Music Production, This is not the case at all..so I ordered, Shipping was fast and the packaging was very safe, The System as it comes Stock is Garbage, Don't get me wrong It is equipped with Good Quality parts but the specs of the motherboard and Processor is just a shame... A audio PC should not come with a 1.66CPU and also not one that is SOLDERED to the motherboard, since you cannot return Rain Computers to Rain nor zzounds for a refund i was stuck with this, but since i love PC's i was able to open it up figure it the form factor of the motherboard and just bought a Intel LGA1156 core i5 processor, and a Zotac h55 mini ITX motherboard, also when i ordered the pc i thought 4gb was way too little ram so i ordered some Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM, that worked out great but it was no use since the cpu was slower than anything, All in all, this is a great pc once you switch out the motherboard and CPU, might seem like a waste of money since this pc is $700 plus the avg price to upgrade it was $425, thats $1125 total, but If you got it on the payment plan zzounds and American Musical are about the only place to get decent computers with out having to apply for a card.. Now this computer is Screaming fast, at 16 MIDI tracks being used with 4 different plugins the i5 is only using at most 13% of cpu use, with the stock read more cpu the sound was cracking and skipping and the cpu use was at 93% completely insane, So if i could go back i would of probably spared the extra money and gone with the Rain Ion Studio pc since the CPU on that one is much better than this one and can also be swapped out with a better one without having to buy an entire new motherboard, Anyways i love this pc now that ive added these upgrades, and it will probably last me a couple years before i get the Rain Ion or a better model by Rain
