Overall, this is one of the best values you can get for a drum kit. Naturally you will want to upgrade eventually to higher quality drums when you become a great drummer. But for a beginner's kit you can't really get better than the Pearl Forum. Even after 5 years, I still use this kit with a few additions, and I also replaced the crash and hi-hats cymbals. I highly recommend getting this kit if you are interested in starting drums. You can't get a better drum set for the price, that includes everything you need to start playing like the Pearl Forum does.

Sound
For a beginners kit you can't get better sound quality than this.

Features
This is a great kit to start off with. It has everything you need to start off with. I bought my Pearl Forum kit about 5 years ago and still play it to this day. My only complaint is that the kit does not include a ride cymbal and stand, which you will need if you want to play stuff like Guns n' Roses and Van Halen like I do..but you can just buy them later.

Ease of Use
Very easy to use. Just put the drums together, tune them, ect and you are good to go. There's no runarounds ect, like other companies give you. You don't have to go and buy a whole bunch of other stuff you need to start playing like with other kits, where they make you buy the seat, cymbals and everything separate.

Quality
I have used this kit for read more 5 years and have played gigs with it, never had a problem with setting it up, sound quality, ect. The drums are great for beginners drums. I use this kit for band practice, gigs, general practicing, recording, ect and have never had any problems.

Value
You can't get a better value than this. Everything you need to start playing in one convenient package, other drum kits charge the same price but you have to go and buy the cymbals, stands, sticks and everything else separately before you can even start playing! The pearl forum has everything ready to go once you buy it. You just set it up and you're ready to start playing (and you can add more/replace stuff later).

Manufacturer Support
Never had to use it

The Wow Factor
The kit is worth every penny, I highly recommend getting this kit if you're a beginner looking to just start playing and also want a halfway decent quality kit. Also, it's a Pearl, they make great drum sets. You can also add a few things to it later on like a double bass pedal and ride cymbal, ect to make it even better.
