G12C 25-watt Celestion Greenbacks. Mono/Stereo switchable. Dark Purple tolex.
Overview
The Marshall 425A and 425B are the associated cabinets in the Vintage Modern line as per Marshall's traditional 4 x 12 design. The speakers used in these mono/stereo switchable cabinets are the new G12C 25-watt Celestion Greenbacks which were specifically developed for the Limited Edition Jimi Hendrix Super100JH stack. Voiced to give that rich and balanced harmonic timbre, they complement the vintage tone of the Vintage Modern Series perfectly.
Vintage and Modern
These are 2 words that don't normally sit comfortably together unless you're talking guitar amplification. The Vintage aspect of course, the tone-fat, smooth, classic and dynamic. The Modern aspect is the feature-set included to enable ease of use and flexibility -- master volume, series FX loop, extra overdrive for those hot "modded" sounds, onboard reverb and a new frequency selective pre-amp topology to facilitate tonal tailoring for specific instruments and musical styles.

Classic Marshall look and sound, what could be better?
Sound
Sound is sooo subjective, this cab though is warmer than say a V30 equipped one, and has the bottom thump you only get from a closed 4 x 12".
Features
You can use it as 2 2x 12"s in a stereo rig, or hook it up mono as 4 or 16 ohms, pretty flexible.
Ease of Use
They're not as heavy as they look! I'd say it's easier to shlep around than my Super Reverb.
Quality
Great quality, same as they've made for years, mines been gigged quite a bit and I bought a cover for it so it still looks pretty much new even after a couple of years.
Value
It's not cheap, but it should last you a long long time.
Manufacturer Support
Can't say though most of the support from music suppliers is only so so in my experience. I hear if your in the UK and can contact Marshall direct they are great to deal with, can't do that here in Canada though.
The Wow Factor
Can't beat the classic Marshall cab, especially with the purple tolex!
