Overview
If Ibanez can lay claim to the title of being the strongest name in Metal guitars, then the RGA is the model this reputation was built on. Every inch of this classic screams speed, fury, and expression.
The RGA742FM is a hardtail 7-string electric built around a Mahogany body with stunning Flamed Maple top. Its contoured top not only looks sleek—it creates a softer, more comfortable edge where the player's right forearm rests. Other features include a fast, thin, Wizard II-7 Maple neck and jatoba fretboard with jumbo frets for maximum left hand performance. This neck and fretboard combination provides a smooth, inviting playing surface and contributes to the RGA742FM's warm, well-defined tonality. Proprietary Quantum pickups offer an entire palette of thick, distorted tone textures that never sacrifice high-end articulation. A simple, yet solid fixed bridge provides stable, dependable tuning and accurate intonation.

"Solid guitar"

Overall, having had this guitar a few weeks, I love it. Mine was almost practically set up out of the box (which surprised me quite a bit). It looks much sharper in person. It sounds good, feels good, simple configuration. Overall, if you want a 7 string and don't want to drop a fortune, this is a great guitar all around.
Sound
The sound is good for the pickups it has. Much better than I expected. I will inevitably swap pickups later on, but the stock pickups are good enough that I'm in no major hurry to do so.
Features
Almost as simple a set up as it gets. Good material used. Wouldn't expect any less from ibanez
Ease of Use
Pretty easy to get tone ranges all across the spectrum if paired with the right amp.
Quality
Too early to say for certain, but my experience with Ibanez is that they are solid guitars. The only issues I've ever had is finish wearing off the bridge on any Ibanez I've owned, but I sweat a lot so that's a factor.
Value
Compared to other guitars in its price range, this is the best in my opinion.
