Atypical Mahogany Body
Ibanez's RG guitars usually use basswood for their bodies for a lighter feel and a mid to higher frequency resonance. Mahogany gives your playing a darker, low-mid and bass-focused frequency response. As a result, the tone from your MTM20 will be beefier and heavier -- it will have a darker color that's geared toward a grittier metal sound.A Pair of Duncan HB105-MT Humbuckers
Your two Duncan HB105-MT humbuckers work together in a no-nonsense alliance to bring you unrelenting metal tone. Your neck humbucker projects a slightly darker sound that thickens your lead playing, and your bridge brightens up your tone a bit more. Used together, these two monsters of tone blend a nice compound of a fuller signal that resounds nicely with this axe's darker-sounding mahogany body.Maple/Walnut Wizard III Neck with "Seven" Inlay

Ibanez's Description
Ibanez MTM20 Mick Thomson Signature
Mick Thomson's musical exploration never stops, nor does his search for an instrument that best fits the next chapter of his creative journey. His collaboration with Ibanez the MTM20 starts with an RG style body, but then morphs into a creature from an alternative universe. To begin, the body is Mahogany, rather than the RG's standard Basswood. Thomson also spec'd 5-pc Maple/ Walnut "Wizard III" fast neck with the FX-Edge III bridge, provides--in the man's own word -- "tons of sustain." His tried and true signature pickups, the Duncan HB-105MT are in force, as well as Thomson's traditional "seven" badge embedded in the fingerboard. A reversed headstock completes the visual picture and allows more fluid bending on lower strings, near the nut.Reviews

It is a really nice guitar, seems built pretty well. Excellent for low tunings.
Sound
The sound is why I bought this. I play drop tuned metal stuff... the mahogany body really emphasizes the mids in the best ways, and the big fat lows stay tight. The duncan design pickups are better than I though they would be, offering everything I need. This guitar has excellent sustain.
Features
Locking nut and fine tuners! Better tuning stability and ability to fine tune without a floating tremolo is awesome. Single volume nob and a 3 way pu switch.
Ease of Use
How easy is it to dial in your favorite sound from your amp? Once tuned and intonated properly, this guitar sings. Sounds great with everything in my fx loop as well. Wizard III neck is super comfy and easy to play (after you set it up of course)
Quality
I would give this a 9/10 as there are a few flaws on the fretboard and such, but nothing affects playability. Out of the box, the action is too high, strings are too small and the neck needed some adjustment. I put bigger strings on it.
Value
Every penny. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

The Wow Factor
10/10. White guitars with black binding are always sexy. Throw in the classic RG body, a reverse headstock and a fixed edge 3 bridge, you have one beautiful guitar!
