Part homage to Stratocasters of the 1950s and part showcase for Fender's modern upgrades, the Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash is a result of decades of development. With a lightweight ash body and modern neck profile, it aims to be a comfortable experience for all players.

Ash Affords a Unique Look and Sound

Upon picking up the American Deluxe, the first thing you're likely to notice is the prominent grain pattern of the ash wood body. Pick it up and you'll see how light ash feels on the shoulders. Play it and hear the airy twang the tonewood offers -- the ideal voicing for country or blues. Bolted to the body is a 22-fret maple neck in a modern "C" shape. Committed to making this a fast-playing neck, Fender topped it with a compound-radius maple fretboard, with frets that flatten out towards the higher end for more comfortable lead play.

Versatile Electronics Make Palette of Tones

The American Deluxe is equipped with the classic three-pickup Strat setup, but makes use of some of Fender's contemporary enhancements to its electronics. First, this Strat is loaded with three Fender Noiseless N3 pickups, which preserve the well-known bell-like tone of the single-coils, while reducing the troublesome hum commonly associated with them. Fender's S-1 switching system opens up 5 pickup combination possibilities, including out-of-phase options.

Fender American DLX Stratocaster Ash MN

Fender's American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash gives you the distinct grain pattern and spanking tone of an ash body, with all the cool features of the American Deluxe Stratocaster. A compound radius fretboard allows simple string bending anywhere along the neck. The N3 Noiseless pickups offer improved Stratocaster tones for sparkling bell-like chime with no hum, and reconfigured S-1 switching offers yet more distinctive tonal options. Other features on the Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Ash include staggered locking tuners, two-point synchronized American Deluxe tremolo bridge with pop-in arm, and beveled neck heel. This version of the Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster ash features a maple compound radius fretboard for slightly brighter sound and faster action.

This guitar is going to last me a long time I'm sure of it. If it got lost or stolen I'd be sick and have to buy another one.
Sound
I love the sound of the guitar. The S1 switch is not to much to my liking in the neck position but all others are pretty cool. Overall it sounds great.
Features
I don't use the S1 switch too much. The pop tremolo arm is pretty awesome. I bought this guitar for the overall American craftsmanship. The neck feels very nice. The guitar stays in tune nicely.
Ease of Use
I recommend getting a set up from a professional but you can play this guitar right out of the box. Mine needed only minor adjustments but when those adjustments were made I couldn't put it down.
Quality
American craftsmanship.

Very pricy but I'd do it again.
