Aside from the two complaints I have with this guitar it really is just a great musical instrument for first-time player or even for back up guitar for touring artist just a great guitar.
Sound
The Epifoam Les Paul with its 50s burst bucker pickups sounds just like the original Gibson version, with all of the sustain and the full-bodied sounds that we know and love from a Les Paul are truly represented in this guitar. Given a little bit of overdrive in this guitar you can get sounds that truly range from blues to rock 'n roll from artists like Jimmy Page and Slash.
Features
This guitar contains 50s original wiring with beautiful 500 K pots, with the standard Gibson tone and volume control for each pick up independently. This guitar also features a D shapedneck that is very thin and has a beautiful action to it, the body is solid mahogany that is not chambered which really is representivein the weight of this guitar it just feels like a less Paul should. The carved Mapletop on this guitar truly shines in heritage Cherry burst that gives it the extra treble that we know and love in the Gibson Les Paul family of guitars. Finally if I had one complaint about this guitar it would be the hardware that is included on it, seems like they could've had a little better quality in this department but still a great overall buy.
Ease of Use
With its slender neck and all nickel wound strings in nine… read more gauge the epiphone Les Paul plays like a dream. The guitar can wail on command and can give you sustain for days. Even as it is branded as an Epiphone this guitar truly is the best Les Paul you can buy at this price point.
Quality
Aside from the complaint already listed above this guitar needed a proper set up, once set up it played amazing and really for $50 extra that was the cost of the set up I couldn't be more happier with the money that I spent on this guitar. Going with the Epiphone version of the Les Paul I was able to get the binding that is only available on higher end Gibson models which truly was an extra nice touch. Finally the brown hard case with the pink interior was just a great added gift that Epiphone included with this guitar, which truly sets it apart from its other offerings at cheaper price pionts.
Value
Even though I bought a blemished model, this guitar is truly worth more than what is being sold for if you can get your hands on the epiphone 50th anniversary model I would highly suggest it these are great guitars at a steal of a price. Epiphone has truly hit gold with this beautiful 1960 Gibson Les Paul standard really just an amazing guitar at a great price point go get one.
Manufacturer Support
Behind this guitar is seriously one of the best warrantes of any guitar manufacturer it's limited lifetime warrenty is truly a stand out in the music industry and from my experience epiphone has been very easy to get in touch with.
The Wow Factor
With it's limited run of 1960 guitars this guitar is truly a one-of-a-kind, if you can find one I would highly recommend buying it without a second thought.
