"Works for Garageband!"
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
This product works quite well for my purposes. If you need a cleaner sound, expect to pay over $500.
Sound
There is a little pop and hiss in my connection but that may just be my cheap behringer strat or the cheap cable!
Features
I love that you don't need a preamp for the sound level to be quite loud in Garageband. *Note - in the Audio MIDI set up utility in Mac OS X you can create an aggregate device (basically, you can group several USB devices together into a single virtual device) when recording with garageband.
Ease of Use
Plug-in. Adjust Audio-MIDI setting. Set Garageband to use your device for recording and you are good to GO!
Quality
The cable feels very sturdy and it is quite long so you can stand up and play with plenty of room to spare.
Value
Nice price!
Manufacturer Support

The Wow Factor
I found this easier that a USB audio interface.
