zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Great definition and enough tone to balance its dryness.

Designed with Terri Lyne Carrington, speaks with great definition and enough tone to balance its dryness. Reminiscent of old Ks or Constantinoples, it is at home in electric or acoustic situations.

The Ride that terri Lyne heard in her head for years became a reality in the High Definition Ride. She imagined one Ride she could play in small and large venues, in acoustic and electric settings, and for tradional and contemporary jazz. She says this Ride lets her personality come through "no matter what musical situation I'm in."

Sound
This ride is everything that it is advertised to be. Great definition and tone. Dark but not too dark. Played lightly it is very controllable - no washy build-up. When you lean into this cymbal and play it loud, it comes alive. I've played a Ping for a long time and for more controlled playing, it excels. Microphones love this cymbal.
Features
Nice weight, superb lathing and hammering. Gorgeous traditional finish.
