The Yamaha AW4416 Digital Audio Workstation is rapidly becoming established as one of the most versatile, powerful, integrated platforms for recording and music production. Now with mini-YGDAI plug-in cards from Waves and Apogee, 2 major players in the field of digital audio production and a significant OS upgrade, the AW4416 attains new levels of performance and production power.
Software signal processors from Waves are a major driving force in the field of computer-based professional audio and multimedia. Now Waves offers the Y56K plug-in DSP card for the AW4416.
The Y56K simply plugs into either of the 2 expansion slots on the rear panel of the AW4416, providing a selection of 6 acclaimed Waves audio processors that can be assigned to any channel and used in up to 8 processing chains.
Waves, the company whose reputation for software plug-ins has dominated the high-end 'Pro Tools' market for some time, created the Y56K card, containing five of their finest effect processors, specifically for Yamaha's AW line. Once plugged into an AW card slot, these additional processors respond just as if they were part of the unit's original construction. Most importantly, they sound great and add tremendous flexibility to the recording process.

And since the Y56K plugs into a mini-YGDAI slot there's no signal degradation due to connections, and you have full digital patching capability.
Only one Y56K card can be installed in the AW4416 at one time.
