Alright, so I've been playing these TRBX605FM's for about 6 months now (first the matte natural finished one, and now this Indigo blue one), both at home and live.You will be hard pressed to find a better playing bass at this price point, in fact I'd be happy to compare either of mine to instruments costing twice as much, they are that good...At least to me.The fit & finish on both of mine are superb, gorgeous flamed tops, zero fret sprout, slim (but not too slim) neck, fast and smooth fretboard. Some might find the string spacing a little tight, but I adjusted quickly, and now considerate it an added bonus. Though "only" a 34" scale, the B string rings with authority and clarity, the tension feels fine, not flubby at all.The electronics are great, I especially like the addition of the active/passive switch, it's nice to know that if you should wind up with a dead battery mid show, you can just flip the switch and keep going...there is very little volume difference between the active and passive preamp, so the crowd won't even notice.The pickups I've heard other people describe as bland or vanilla, that's not entirely true, but not entirely false either, they do sound great, but it WILL take a little work on your part to bring out the tones you're looking for, I've found that pickup height & string choice were the biggest determiners here.Pick a color and buy one, you won't be disappointed, I'm actually considering buying a third one for ADGCF tuning.
