zZounds Gear Experts Say...

You don't have to sacrifice tone for kit size! The Yamaha Stage Custom Hip drum kit boasts 6-ply 100% birch shells and a shallow 20" x 8" bass drum.

Overview

Features:

- 6-ply 100% Birch Shells provide a nice, full low-end, strong midrange and controlled high-end
- Compact size and overall footprint that is smaller than other compact kits without sacrificing sound and functionality
- Shallow 20" x 8" bass drum for a compact setup and ease of transport while still maintaining a deep and big sound
- Floor tom equipped with snares provides a whole new range of playing possibilities in just one drum
- 1.6mm Triple-Flanged Steel Hoops contribute to an open sound and long sustain
- YESS Tom Mount does not interfere with setup and head changes, and minimizes shell contact to increase sustain and dynamic range
- Tom Ball Mount and Clamp System offers unparalleled 360 degrees flexibility and ease of positioning
- Die-Cast Bass Drum Hooks provide protection to the bass drum hoops and offer noise-free function
- Smaller dimensions makes it perfect for low-volume practice in small spaces, and the kit is a great match for the new EAD10 low-volume scenes with mesh heads and triggers.

i love the bass drum. i love the floor tom/snare. the snare itself eh a bit thin for me. the 10x5 tom i use but i have a 10x7 from the regular stage custom kit and i use both. with various snares depending on the gig. i use an EAD 10 live with triggers and a kick mic and it works great. glad i bought it.
