And don't forget to check out the mini, thinline APXT Traveler models - ideal for music on the move or specialist applications.

One-way systems utilized in the APX7A feature a piezo pickup mounted under the saddle. "APX7A is the bomb!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Sound is very good. I migrated from an APX5A and the sound on the 7A is definitely superior, plugged in or unplugged. I use my 7A with a Zoom 504 effects box in chorus mode running through a Peavy Ecoustic 112 and everything works toward a rich, full sound.
Features
Components on this guitar are top-notch. Tuners are upgraded, neck also....and the solid top makes for a superior sound over my previous guitar. Action of the neck is very fast, and the electronics are also superior.
Quality
All materials seem to be first quality. Fit and finish is first rate. Reliability is unknown, but based upon my other Yamaha reliability should be flawless.
Value
I did a lot of comparison shopping and feel very good about my purchase of the APX7A. The price is of this guitar is comparable with low end professional quality instruments but at a significantly discounted rate.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to deal with the manufacturer because Yamaha products have a rep for being good, well made, and reliable.
The Wow Factor
Aesthetically pleasing, feels great, plays great, sounds great.
