"I Love this Mandolin!"

zZounds' 4-payment option convinced me to get this Washburn M1SDL Mandolin. If you are, like me, a mandolin beginner you don't want to invest a fortune on an instrument, but at the same time you want as good an instrument as possible so you won't get discouraged. I chose this mandolin because I have a Washburn dobro that has never given me a bit of trouble. I expected the same affordable high quality from this mandolin. The only problem was that it came without a setup. I spent 3 weeks trying to do it myself, watching every YouTube video I could find without much success. My advice: invest the $ to get a professional set-up from the start. I finally took it to a first class luthier and WOW! This is a sweet, sweet instrument! It's a joy to practice now. Bright tones, nice sustain, easy to finger, a delight to feel the vibrations coming from the back and neck ... I LOVE this beautiful mandolin! If I had to do it over, I would definitely buy this same mandolin again. I expect it to serve me well for a long time.
