Despite their lightweight design, Ultrasone's HFI 15G headphones pack a huge punch thanks to their 40mm Mylar drivers and S-Logic technology.
Overview
The HFI-15G are the smallest and lightest headphones from Ultrasone and are ideal for music enthusiasts, gamers, home studios and more! Ultrasone's HFI-15G headphones feature dynamite sound and patented S-Logic technology and serve as an introduction into the world of Ultrasone and professional grade headphones.
The HFI-15G uses Ultrasone's durable and great-sounding 40mm Mylar driver which has great bass response, high maximum SPL, and is next to impossible to blow out. These high quality drivers along with Ultrasone's patented S-Logic technology combine to provide the listener with an amazingly full sound and the sensation that you're actually sitting 'front row center' at your favorite band's concert.
Along with great sound, the 15G's open-ear design allows air to circulate freely so your ears don't heat up during long listening or gaming sessions. At only three ounces, you will never get tired of listening to these headphones. HFI-15Gs also feature a specialized driver designed to reduce electro-magnetic emissions from the headphones. In accordance with the ULE (Ultra Low Emission) standard this material shields the listener up to 98 percent from electro-magnetic radiation typically produced by headphones.
Ultrasone headphones with patented S-Logic are the first headphones to utilize your entire ear, including the pinnea (outer ear), in the listening experience. Through the use of decentralized driver positioning, S-Logic headphones aim the sound at the pinnea instead of directly down the ear canal. The sound does not go directly down you ear canal as with conventional headphones, but instead filters off the outer ear as you listen. By doing this, your perception of distance, depth and instrument placement are greatly enhanced. You can hear the mix exactly as the engineer heard it in the studio.
An added benefit of S-Logic technology is an up to 40 percent (3-4dB) drop in SPL (sound pressure levels) for the same perceived volume. This means the Ultrasones put less pressure on your eardrum than any other headphones. Because of this, the risk of hearing damage is greatly reduced and you can listen for longer without fatigue. read less
