Thorpy FX Fallout Cloud Triangle Style Fuzz Pedal

Created to emulate vintage "triangle" style fuzz pedals, but versatile enough to fit into any rig, the Thorpy Fallout Cloud delivers annihilating fuzz.
Thorpy FX were asked to create the Fallout Cloud by a number of vintage pedal enthusiasts. They were after a Triangle-era-style pedal that would work with a variety of amps and guitars -- humbucker and single-coils, including P90s -- and be bombproof, so it could be gigged. The brief was simple: make a triangle-era Fuzz that could beat original 1971 Triangle fuzz pedals when placed head to head.

The brief was simple; the task was not. After many prototypes and a bit of lateral thinking, the Fallout Cloud was born. This pedal has the ability to beat just about any four-transistor fuzz, including the best vintage units). By adjusting the perfectly voiced EQ, you can achieve fuzz tones from silky smooth through to doom-laden, while maintaining the ability to cut through.

This pedal has won numerous awards, including Gear of the Year in the UK and the USA, and is on the pedalboards of notable artists, including Ed O'Brien of Radiohead.

The enclosure is made from powder-coated steel wraparound and a stainless steel laser-cut centre piece. Internally, the pedal is immaculately built using premium 1% metalfilm resistors, Wima and Panasonic capacitors, and Neutrik jacks. Coupled with a robust gold plated PCB and dust-sealed Alpha potentiometers. It uses a mechanical foot switch and is powered by a 9V centre negative power supply.

All components are RoHS compliant, soldered in using unleaded solder.
