Terratec MIDI Hubble 2x2 MIDI Interface and USB Hub

The idea is simple and brilliant: why not combine two frequently-used devices in a single, well-designed housing and save desk space?

The MIDI HUBBLE by TerraTec Producer combines a MIDI interface (two inputs and outputs each) with a USB 1.1 HUB to provide you with three additional USB ports. With an optional AC adapter, each of the ports provides a maximum current of 500 mA (self-powered).

If the connected peripheral device needs less, operating power can be drawn alternatively over the connection to the PC (bus-powered). In that mode, the ports deliver a maximum of 440 mA alltogether. Either way, nothing can go wrong, as the USB ports are equipped with electronic overcurrent control and status LEDs. Additional LEDs for MIDI activity indicate whether a signal is being applied to the port.

As an added extra, the MIDI section features a small control panel which can be used to set LED status filters (active sensing) or to configure the MIDI routing of inputs to outputs when no music software is accessing the device. Impossible connections are locked by default, so nothing can go wrong.
