Coreless Direct Drive Motor Achieving Stable Rotation: Retaining the outstanding performance of the SL-1200MK7, the direct drive system uses a slow-turning motor to directly drive the platter, offering high performance, accuracy, and powerful torque without needing part replacements. While traditional direct drive systems had issues with rotation irregularity (cogging), the SL-1200M7GL/M7G features a coreless direct drive motor that eliminates this problem. The motor's improved magnetic force and optimized gap between the stator and rotor ensure smooth rotation and high torque, matching the performance of the SL-1200MK5. Platter: An aluminum die-cast platter, rib-reinforced underneath, combines with deadening rubber in a two-layer structure to suppress unwanted resonance.

Spring-and-rubber insulators optimize frequency response for high sound quality and howling resistance, blocking vibration even at high volumes for clear audio.
