Master luthier and guitar designer Andy Powers has redesigned the 500 series grand concert model with a host of woods and features. Taylor is proud to introduce urban ironbark, or red iron bark, as the wood for the back and sides for the 512ce 12-Fret. Sourced through the urban wood initiative, urban ironbark is destined to become a favorite among guitar players.

The appointments of the 500 series capture the traditional aesthetic while adding touches to highlight the wood pairing. The guitar features Taylor's revolutionary V class bracing system, which helps increase volume and sustain while improving the natural intonation of the notes and comes equipped with Taylor's award winning ES2 active electronics.
