It came out of the box ready to play. It's a very high quality guitar. Every picking area has it's own sound from deep to bright. The neck, I don't even notice it when I'm playing, and that's a good thing, a very good thing, especially on a 12-string. It sounds just like a 12 string Rosewood/Spruce compilation should. And, it's easy to play. The few "blems", tiny, insignificant in comparison to the quality of the guitar and setup. The electronics provide a clear, flat tone. And, the EQ is perfect to EQ the guitar for any room. There's no need to change the character of the guitar at the guitar, it can be done more effectively from a Kemper Amp and then EQ'd for the room at the guitar, ah huh.Thank you! Happy camper here!

Musical Background:

I got my first guitar during 1964.
