I purchased this guitar 3 weeks ago, and couldn't be happier. I have a Taylor 314ce that I absolutely love and was worried buying this piece, that it would not compare to the quality of my Taylor. Now my Taylor does have a bit more ring and clearer high notes, but I'm going to say that is because of the elixr strings I have. (will be changing the takamine to these as well) I hooked both my Taylor and takamine up and played the same songs and recorded both. We had 5 different people listen and it came out with 3 saying the Taylor sounded cleaner and 2 saying the takamine was their choice. I feel that's something great to say for the price I paid for this compared to the Taylor. I will say this is a very easy guitar to play and it looks absolutely beautiful. I will update my review once I put on the elixr strings on and do another comparison. All in all 5 stars
