Evoking a musically adventurous decade, this Classic Vibe '60s Stratocaster sports a '60s-era vintage-tint maple neck and alnico V single-coil pickups.

The rough-and-tumble Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster '60s evokes that musically adventurous decade, with a few modern features added. The alder body has a Three-Color Sunburst finish; the '60s-era vintage-tint gloss-maple neck has a fingerboard with 21 medium-jumbo frets and a modern 9.5" radius. The thick tone comes from the alnico V single-coil pickups -- quick attack with a bit more midrange force and a knockout bridge pickup. Custom staggered polepieces provide improved string-to-string balance.

I bought this not not expecting more than a good extra axe. Boy was I wrong. I owned a real 60's Strat and this could be her sister. People tend to forget that the originals were not built to today's standards. They were built a lot like this. This is a time machine. Right down to the noise and the feel. if you want bells and whistles get a new Strat but if you want some built in soul and history get this sweetheart.
