This thing is SCREAMER. The metal top is a work of art as well is the burl back. The EMG 81/85's have a nearly infinite sustain and sound like scalded cats on an angry acid trip. This is a man's guitar that could double up as a battle axe. I didn't weigh it but the specs say 9.6 lbs. and it at least all of that and probably more - but I like that so I'm cool with that. The fret work on mine is excellent and the X-Jumbo meatiness is perfect IMO. It's a work of art. I bought the case, but I have it hanging on the wall because it's so damn cool looking. If you are on the fence just buy one here and finance
Sound
Listen to BLS and any of the heavy, Smashey, crushing power sounds you can associate with that, that's how this guitar sounds. How these pickups aren't active blows my mind
Features
The only thing I have issue with this is that the guitar strap knob will not allow me to use my favorite D'Addario locking strap and I'll have to figure that one out....other than that there is nothing wrong if you wanna play nasty, heavy power metal.
Ease of Use
I am an eternal beginner, amateur level player....I have very little natural guitar talent, but I can still make this thing scream
Quality
This thing seems bulletproof...time will tell but If I had to put my money on it, it will be around a lot longer than I will.
Value
It isn't inexpensive… read more but it's not Gibson money and, in my opinion, it's made just as well as my Gibson Les Paul studio - and that guitar has the best neck and fretwork I have ever had my hands on.
The Wow Factor
10 0utta ten appeal - it's like if this was a car, it would be the meanest, loudest and most brutal/evil blown big block muscle car made.
Musical Background:
Power cords..... NOT a professional musician, but I sound good in my own head
Musical Style:
I'm into mostly grunge, classic rock, metal but enjoy older country music and spanish/caribean sounds (wife is Dominican) as wel read less
