Along with master volume and balance controls, you also have two-band EQ control dials to fine-tune your signal to your heart's desire.

Mahogany and Maple Body

The flame maple top on your Schecter Stiletto Extreme boasts an attractive look that fits well on any bass player. As a guitar tonewood, maple pushes the higher frequencies and brings in a pleasant brightness to the table. The mahogany body brings out those lower and middle frequencies, keeping your tone nice and warm. Both woods work well together to yield an evenly balanced resonance that's neither too dark nor too bright.

Thin C-Shaped Maple Neck

If you're not a fan of bulky necks, then the thin C shape maple neck on your Schecter Stiletto Extreme will provide a more comfortable fit. Maple necks feature a pleasant rounded brightness that can help your signal cut through the mix. 24 XJ frets rest in a smooth rosewood fingerboard with slick Vector fingerboard inlays to mark your fret positions.

Solid Tone Control

Right beside the Schecter Diamond Bass pickup at the bridge are a read more master volume control and a pickup blend control to dial in the decibels and find the perfect balance of each pickup. You also have active two-band EQ controls to hone in on the brightness or darkness the occasion demands.

This is my second bass guitar, the first being an entry level Ibanez I bought years ago. This bass has a nice slick neck that is easy for any sized hands to play and I have huge hands if you were wondering, it works great for me. There is no neck dive really, it's well balanced. It may need a setup out of the box, I used a couple of YouTube videos to learn how to do it and it worked fine but if you may want to take it to a professional for your first setup if you're unsure about doing it yourself.
