I got this guitar and right away had to do a setup and tighten the volume knob. Normally not a big deal, but these are supposed to come shipped ready to play. About a month later, my neck pickup starts getting woofy and after another week or so cuts out entirely. I pull all the strings off to get at the neck pickup and find that these EMGs have a 3-prong plug that allows you to swap them out with ease. Cool, but not cool because for some reason the plug keeps slipping off - I dropped a dab of super glue on the connection and it's held up so far but kind've defeats the point, right? Now, I'm about 2 months in (just past the 45-day return policy) and the fitting that allows you to tighten the whammy bar to swing or stay in place is now loose and spinning freely - I'm surprised it hasn't straight up fallen off. Another dab of super glue. I hope this is the last issue I have with this guitar because it is so fun to play! I so badly want this Schecter to fill the metal void I have in my guitar collection but the damn thing is falling apart. I play an hour or two a day - no gigging. I take care of my stuff (regular string changes and cleaning with the Dunlop 65 products). If you're looking at this guitar, be ready to make some repairs. I'd suggest beating the tar out of it to see if it'll hold up before the return policy ends. Good luck!

Sound
This is a metal guitar through and through. The EMG 60/81 are alright. The 81 (bridge) is much better than the read more 60 (neck) in my opinion. Don't expect to sound like Eric Johnson.

Features
I was curious about the hot rodded Floyd Rose - it's alright but I had issues with the fitting on the whammy bar. Pickups are ok. The pickup switch is inconveniently placed behind the whammy bar - not great, but you're able to get used to it.

Ease of Use
This is where the GT excels. This guitar feels great in my hands and has given me the platform to improve my playing abilities.

Quality
This. Guitar. Falls. Apart.

Value
I'd put the price closer to $700 honestly.

Manufacturer Support
I've had Schecters before and they were always solid instruments. This is the first one that I've had issues with, so maybe I just got a bad one.

The Wow Factor
I've never seen a guitar like this. I love the scale, 24 frets, Floyd, inlays, and the pickup covers. Beautiful guitar for sure.
