This is a really well constructed bass with swamp ash body, active pickups, coil splitting option and bladed selector similar to a Stratocaster. The body takes some getting used to.Mine weighs in at 12.5 lbs but it's well balanced with no neck dive .The neck as well takes a little getting used to.It's 45 mm like most other 5 strings. Not as wide as a Fender but wider spacing than Ibanez. The profile on the neck is pretty thick also but the frets are well set and there is no buzzing up and down the board. As far as tone it's very versatile.Really a 2 pickup bass when you factor in the coil splitting. It has excellent low end but can get really detailed with the notes popping out for solo work. All in all this bass is very well put together, has excellent components including a very hefty and stable bridge and stays in tune well. After you get used to the neck width and the weight it will really grow on you.I expect these to really go up in price in the future.
