Roland is well-known for innovation in audio recording products. However, they are also known for innovations in video devices. The AeroCaster gives you excellent recording/streaming options at 1920X1080 resolutions. This unit requires an iPad to function correctly. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH ANDROID TABLETS. Additionally, the AeroCaster can supply phantom power to condenser microphones. Dynamic microphones work well too. If you pair this up with a Tascam Mixcast 4 or any of the RODECasters, you can host your own online talk show, radio show or stream to social media with professional drops and you can receive live callers too One of the things I like when recording with this unit is the fact that the software saves the original video as shot on each smartphone and the switched video on your iPad. So, if you need a shot you missed because you were streaming the wrong smartphone you can fix it in post.This is the equipment I use with the AeroCaster: A16 iPad (2025), iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. For enhanced audio solutions, I use a TASCAM Mixcast 4 with various microphone and my Samsung A17 is tethered to the Mixcast via BlueTooth for remote callers.The more creative you want to be is easy, because you are not limited in how you can implement this into your setup.
