"Djembe Drum Stand - Fast, Easy, Versatile"

For this price range it doesn't get any better. I bought a second stand for my wife to use. Making design changes such as one that compresses or folds-up would move it out of the low-cost, high value catagory.
Sound
It does not impact the sound of the djembe drum in any way.
Features
This stand is light-weight, is made of metal and the whole stand is coated in a rubber-like material to eliminiate vibrations and damage to the drum. It's so much nicer to play without having to lock my legs around a drum.
Ease of Use
The drum is placed through the top ring so the bowl of the djembe rests upon it. With a 12" djembe I could get the drum to tilt 11 degrees. With a 14" djembe I got 7 degrees of tilt At one drum circle, the smallest drum that was set in it was an 11 inch djembe and the largest was a 14 'x 25" djembe.
Quality
Sturdy. No loose parts to flap around or any adjustments to be made.
Value
The value in it is it works with no hassle. Zzounds had it in stock, offered the best price which included shipping, and no state tax for me. Of two local brick & mortar stores in my area at the one that carried it I would have paid about 15% more and had to go out of my way to get it.
The Wow Factor
Very practical and simple design. If I was a seller of this product I could have sold two at the first drum circle I took it to.
