It looks like it's been a while since someone put a review up for this pedal, so I figured I'd give my 2 cents worth (detailed review below).... Long story short, if you have a budget of $500 or less for a double bass drum pedal, just stop looking now, and buy this thing (thank me later)... Build Quality? Silly good, it's solid as a rock, I expect it'll last a long time... Cosmetics? Gorgeous in person (pics don't do it justice) it's got good clean lines and the orange accents stand out in a good way, yeah it's under your feet most of the time, but it's still a great looking pedal... Setup? It's plenty adjustable, and really easy to get setup, the included directions are pretty much useless, but with some basic YouTube watching you could tweak this thing to your hearts content pretty easily, you can choose between two different style cams (perfect circle vs. eliminator style) I prefer the Eliminator cam, you may not... Now, the negatives? I have only two VERY small complaints, and they really are minor. First, I wish the adjusters for chain tension were metal instead of hard plastic, they adjust fine, and the lock feature is awesome, but I wonder about long term durability... The second thing is there is very slight play in the driveshaft, don't get me wrong it isn't bad, and it's expected at this price point, but it's still there none the less, for those actually curious, based on the angle meter in my iPhone, the "slack" from the slave pedal equates to about .7 degrees, so read more less than one degree LOL, most drummers won't notice it (me included) but I always check weird stuff like that, yours may not have any, or you could just buy the Trick retrofit driveshaft and resolve it...but then it sorta makes this NOT a cheap pedal anymore.

Sound
I'm not really sure a bass drum pedal has a "sound", but it definitely has a feel, and this one feels great, it's smooth as glass, the beaters hit with authority.

Features
This pedal sets up well with all the usual adjustments you'd expect at this price level. Pearls locking system for the spring is certainly something other companies should look into designing their own, it's that good. I do wish you could set the footboard angle separate from the beater angle, but you won't find that on any other pedal in this price range, and it absolutely didn't hinder me in any way getting this pedal to play how I like.

Ease of Use
This pedal was playable right out of the box with no real adjustments, I just like to tinker, and I know how I want something to feel. That said, a beginner could literally be up and running in no time using the settings the pedal shipped with...but I'd still recommend they set it up to their liking, if for no other reason to experiment and learn how to setup their own equipment.

Quality
I've only had the pedal a short time, but I can clearly see it's well made, if Pearl cut any corners to lower the costs it certainly isn't obvious. That said, is it as good as its big brother Demon pedals? Of course not, but it also only about 1/3 of the cost, so that fact that Pearl can make something that performs really well, in the Demon "family", and sell it for this price is pretty incredible.

Value
This pedal is priced competitively in it's target market, and compared to it's competition I think it stands well above them here.

Manufacturer Support
I have dealt with Pearl in the past, they are an amazing company, and I've never had anything but positive experiences with them.

The Wow Factor
Compared to it's competition I think this pedal stands out, the aluminum is super clean looking, and the orange accents kinda set it off.
