PRS Paul Reed Smith SE Mark Holcomb SVN-v2 Electric Guitar

zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Signature 7-string versatility for modern players: PRS' SE Mark Holcomb SVN-v2 delivers 7-string tones, modern pickups, a thin neck, and rugged hardware.

The SE Mark Holcomb SVN model truly stands on its own in the PRS lineup and delivers addictive playability thanks to some unique specifications, including a 24-fret, 26.5" scale length, wide thin satin maple neck with 20" radius ebony fretboard. Holcomb's signature Seymour Duncan Scarlet and Scourge 7-string pickups provide the right amount of output and articulation whether you're playing sophisticated chords or solos and whether you're playing alone or working in the mix of a band. Other specifications include black hardware, a 3-way blade pickup switch with push/pull tone knob for coil tapping, and a quilted maple veneer. The model is topped off with a string-through, plate-style, 7-string bridge.

"My SE SVN has become the perfect counterpart to my SE six-string, and an absolute mainstay in Periphery's live rig. It's designed to be aggressive, but its core features allow it to be diverse enough to handle clean and mid-gain tones just as effectively. If you've played my SE six, you'll find that this builds off what we established with that guitar and more." - Mark Holcomb, Periphery

Well I got a Mark Holcomb SVN 3 weeks ago, in that time the output jack became loose and required me to tighten the nut, the nuts on the tuners are loose and rattle when shaken, and just today the 3 way selector switch has broken entirely leaving me no middle position. What kind of crack did Paul Reed smoke and think this trash quality that would be acceptable for a $600-800 Epiphone is worth over $1400?? Complete Waste of money. I own a MT100 amp and its been great and was great value for the money but this guitar might as well be thrown in a dumpster and lit on fire. Unfortunately it is Sunday and I cant contact zZounds by phone to start my Return until tomorrow..Its a beautiful guitar..DO NOT BUT IT, DO NOT FALL FOR THIS TRAP. Fretwork was good and it does play great and os a lot of fun to play, but to have a $1400 instrument with hardware that fails in 3 weeks is unacceptable by any means. I would consider keeping it but zZounds would need to take at least $200 to cover cost if new hardware to make it worth the price
