The PRS Paul Reed Smith Machined Patented Tremolo (Gen III) is designed to maximize the transfer of the strings' vibration through the bridge and into the body of the guitar, supporting the fidelity of the guitar's tone and maximizing sustain. PRS updated its Patented Tremolo to this Gen III version in 2015.
